It,s true. Like Mugatu would say “Twitter is SO hot right now” So if your attempting to build a personal brand, put yourself into the job market, become a successful freelance business or simply submerge yourself in new media, Twitter is an essential component. I sent out my resume and portfolio for 3 weeks to HR departments at Boston PR firms: NO RESPONSE. Nothing not even a no. I got on twitter and after some carefull research I found the right people and secured a great internship in 1 week. When I followed the right people at the same firms it was amazing how much more receptive they were. And thats only one application of the site.
